How To Prevent Holiday Weight Gain

How To Prevent Holiday Weight Gain

For many of us, the festive or holiday season is often one of overindulgence, reduced physical activity, exhaustion or stress (particular for the women who are hosting/cooking/cleaning/doing it ALL).

Which makes it challenging to maintain your healthy habits. It's entirely understandable that so many of my clients feel apprehensive about the holidays, worrying that all the time and effort they've invested into their health and wellness this year will be "undone".

Especially if you struggle with over/under eating as a coping mechanism and you're going to be exposed to difficult or triggering family dynamics.

But I want to give you some good news.

In my opinion, life is to be LIVED and i am all about that 80/20 lifestyle.

And I want to share a solution for keeping the kilos off during the holiday season that allows you to enjoy your 20% without feeling shame or guilt (yay) while ALSO managing your stress and anxiety.

The secret is... somatic exercise.

These easy, precise, science-backed and gentle movements regulate the nervous system, reduce cortisol levels, alleviate stress, AND make weight loss easier than any diet or workout plan you've attempted in the past.

Because somatic exercise promotes relaxation and mindfulness, it puts your body into the parasympathetic nervous system state (rest and digest) which allows your body's processes to get out of survival mode and get back to balance.

Boosting your immunity, metabolism, gut health, energy, sleep + so so much more.

Because you can do it all from bed in your PJ's, it's super easy to integrate into your daily life.

So, if your goal is to navigate this year's holidays WITHOUT resorting to diets, avoiding weight gain, and steering clear of stress... then somatic work is for you.

If this is resonating, check out my Restore Challenge - you deserve to invest in yourself too this holiday season.
