Quinoa Breakfast Porridge

This recipe is a cozy, warming, nourishing bowl of goodness that is packed with good-for-you ingredients. We've got protein, fiber, and healthy fats. It's better than your standard oatmeal in so many ways and it tastes just as good as it looks!

 

INGREDIENTS


* 1/2 cup cooked quinoa or millet

* 1/2 cup water or almond milk


* 2 tablespoons raisins


* Sprinkle of ground cinnamon

* 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds


* 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed


* Drizzle of raw honey or maple syrup (optional)

* Makes 1 serving
 

DIRECTIONS


1) Bring quinoa or millet and water or almond milk to a boil.
2) Lower heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until creamy.
3) Mix in the raisins, cinnamon, sunflower seeds, and ground flaxseed.
4) Add the raw honey or maple syrup, if desired. Enjoy!
